Mission: The mission of the Department of Food Science and Technology is to provide undergraduate and graduate students with training to become professionals with excellence in Food Science and Technology, in order to meet society's expectations regarding food quality and safety, as well as to seek technological innovations by offering new products to the consumer market.

Vision: The Department's vision is to be recognized as a reference in the areas of Food Science and Technology and Agroindustrial Technology, in view of the needs of society and the challenges of social, economic and environmental sustainability within the scope of the Agrifood System.

Values: To develop all activities with principles of ethics, respect, inclusion, conscious management and excellence.
